Hi there, I am Rob Parnell the owner of Dave's Fishing Tackle.

I first started fishing in 1976 at the age of eight, and have fished more or less every week since then to present day.

My main love is the pursuit of specimen carp, having caught fish to 39lb 12oz in Norfolk. However I also enjoy winter fishing on the rivers for roach, chub and pike. I have also enjoyed success fishing the beaches of Norfolk and Suffolk for cod and bass in recent years.

There has been a tackle shop in the town of Fakenham for the last 60 years, the shop has traded as ‘Dave's Fishing Tackle’ for over two decades so I have decided to retain the shops name.

I took over the shop from Dave, the previous owner of 23 years in May 2008. I cater for anglers of all ages, experiences and chosen interests within the sport. I hold a good stock of Coarse, Sea, Specimen and Game equipment. If I don’t have what you need in stock, I will aim to get it for you quickly, from my comprehensive network of manufacturers and suppliers.

I also undertake rod repairs and rebuilds etc and some examples of my work are illustrated in the gallery section of this site.
